E-invoicing

E-invoicing? Handled.

E-invoicing is becoming Europe’s default. Public bodies across the EU already have to accept structured EN 16931 e-invoices, and the EU’s VAT in the Digital Age (ViDA) reform makes them the standard for cross-border B2B by 2030 — with each country adding its own timeline along the way. vuco issues EN 16931 invoices from day one and adapts to each market with a Country Pack.

What is an e-invoice?

An invoice in a structured, machine-readable format built on the European standard EN 16931 (formats like Factur-X, ZUGFeRD or UBL) that authorities and companies can process automatically — not just a PDF.

Is it mandatory in the EU?

For selling to the public sector (B2G), yes — EU law already requires public bodies to receive EN 16931 e-invoices. For business-to-business, each country sets its own timeline, and the EU’s ViDA reform makes structured invoicing the default for cross-border trade from 2030.

Does vuco work in my country?

vuco is built EU-first, with a Country Pack per market that applies the right format, tax rules and small-business scheme for where you invoice. Germany is live first; more countries follow.

Is a vuco invoice legally sound?

Yes. Every invoice is validated at runtime against the official EN 16931 and veraPDF rules before it leaves your device.
